A family-focused RV resort previously known as Sun Retreats Amherstburg, Willowood is just 28 km from Windsor and a short drive from Detroit, Michigan. We offer more than 300 spacious RV sites with full hookups, plus seasonal stays for those who want to make Willowood their summer home base.

  • What accommodation options does Willowood offer?

    We offer seasonal sites and overnight RV sites. You can bring your own RV for a short stay or the full season. Contact us to learn more.

  • What months can I visit and stay at Willowood?

    Our season runs May 1 through October 31.

  • What's the minimum stay for overnight bookings?

    We require a minimum 2-night stay, and a minimum 3-night stay on long weekends and holidays.

  • What is there to do at Willowood?

    Plenty. Willowood has two pools (a family pool with water features and an adult/teen pool), a splash pad, a playground, basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, a softball field, and a full calendar of planned activities and social events.

  • What should I pack for an RV trip?

    You’ll want to pack the essentials: food and drinks, flashlights, sunscreen, insect repellent, a first-aid kit, and a basic toolkit. We have an on-site store if you forget anything.

  • Is Willowood pet-friendly?

    Yes. Pets are welcome at Willowood. We have wide-open spaces and a designated pet area, but just make sure to keep them leashed when you’re out and about.
